Hyderabad: It’s been a year since the tragic passing of legendary playback singer SP Balasubrahmanyam. Fans and well-wishers remembered the soft-spoken gentleman on his 75th birth anniversary (June 4) and his death anniversary (September 25) and paid tributes to him. And here’s a latest update on Balu’s iconic singing reality show, ‘Padutha Theeyaga’.

Apparently, not one but three judges are going to judge the show ‘Padutha Theeyaga’ this time. Well-known lyricist Chandrabose, popular playback singer Sunitha and ‘Slumdog Millionaire’ fame singer Vijay Prakash have been roped in to be the judges of this superhit musical show that has been enthralling fans and music lovers for the last two decades on ETV.

Confirming the speculated news for the past several months, singer Sunitha posted an update on her Facebook page. Sharing a picture of her along with Chandrabose, Vijay Prakash and SPB Charan, the ‘Ee Velalo Neevu’ singer captioned it: “Good morning!! I am very happy and proud to be a judge for the very prestigious Etv “Padutha thiyaga” along with Sri. Chandra Bose and Sri. Vijay Prakash. I feel this opportunity has come as a blessing from Balu garu.. He taught me so many playback singing technics.. It’s time to pass it on to the next Generation. I am sure @spbcharan garu will succeed in this journey. We are here to continue Balu sir’s legacy. I request all of you not to compare because he is incomparable and irreplaceable (sic).”

Balu’s son and noted playback singer and producer SP Charan will be hosting the show.
