IHM-Hyderabad hosts fifth season of national hospitality competitions

IHM-Hyderabad hosted the fifth season of the Budding Events, featuring national competitions for aspiring hospitality managers and chefs. Sixteen teams competed in each category, testing their problem-solving, operational, culinary and technical skills during the four-day event.

Hyderabad: Institute of Hotel Management, Hyderabad (IHM-Hyderabad) hosted the 5th Season of the Budding Events, comprising of National Budding Professional Competition (Manager) and National Budding Chef Competition.

The four-day mega event witnessed the participation of 16 teams each in the Budding Professional and the Budding Chef from leading IHMs, SIHMs, and private hospitality institutes across India and Hyderabad.

The inaugural ceremony was attended by Sanjay Thakur, Principal/ Member Secretary, IHM-Hyderabad, Rachna Agashe, HoD, IHM-Hyderabad, and Puneet Razdan, HoD (F&B Service), IHM-Hyderabad.

Participants in the Budding Professional (Manager) category competed across diverse and industry-relevant events, testing their problem-solving, creativity, and operational skills. The competitions tested participants’ culinary creativity, technical precision, and ability to work under pressure, culminating in the announcement of the National Budding Chef 2026 Champion Team, a press release said.
