IIIT Hyderabad launches first online MSc in Data Science
IIIT Hyderabad has launched its first online degree, MSc in Data Science. The UGC-approved programme spans two years, extendable to four, offering flexible learning for working professionals. Admissions require no entrance exam, opening opportunities to learners from diverse backgrounds
Hyderabad: The International Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) Hyderabad has launched its first online degree programme, Master of Science in Data Science.
The two-year UGC-approved programme is designed to provide rigorous academic training in data science while offering the flexibility of a fully online format. It is aimed at working professionals and learners who cannot attend on-campus classes, enabling them to upskill without disrupting their careers. Students will be allowed up to four years to complete the programme, a press release said.
Unlike traditional programmes, the online MSc Data Science does not require an entrance examination, opening the door for a wider pool of learners from diverse backgrounds.
