Sangareddy: The Indian Institute of Technology Hyderabad (IITH) has achieved a major milestone by securing the 270th position in the QS Asia University Rankings 2026, marking a remarkable 50-rank improvement from last year’s 320th position.
IITH was among the top 10 IITs in India, reinforcing its growing global standing as a leading institution for research, innovation, and academic excellence. The QS Asia fact sheet highlights significant improvements across multiple key indicators.
IITH recorded an impressive rise in Employer Reputation, reflecting the institute’s growing recognition among global employers, while academic reputation also climbed high, underscoring IITH’s increasing visibility and credibility in the global academic community.
Expressing his delight over the achievement, Director of IITH Prof. BS Murty said the institute was emerging as a fast-growing institute in Asia through its research excellence and innovative academic ecosystem.
“This global recognition reflects our vision of building a world-class institution that blends technology, creativity, and societal impact,” he said.
