IMA, TJUDA to conduct peaceful fast on Tuesday in Telangana

In solidarity with protesting Kolkata junior doctors, senior and junior doctors in Hyderabad and across Telangana State to participate in peaceful fast from 6 am to 6 pm on Tuesday

Hyderabad: In solidarity with junior doctors of Kolkata, who have launched fast-unto-death demanding justice to Dr Abhaya, the medico who died at R G Kar Medical College and Hospital, senior and junior doctors in Hyderabad and across Telangana State will participate in peaceful fast on Tuesday.

As a part of the call given by its parent body, the members of India Medical Association (IMA), Telangana State (TS) and Telangana State Junior Doctors Association (TJUDA) will participate in peaceful fast from 6 am to 6 pm on Tuesday at various locations in Hyderabad and elsewhere in the districts.

“The protest will be conducted peacefully and will not impact essential medical services in collaboration with IMA at various locations. All the senior doctors, postgraduates, interns, under graduates, super specialty PGs will join the peaceful one-day fast from 6 am to 6 pm,” the IMA and TJUDA members said.
