IMD forecasts light to moderate rain, strong winds across Telangana till July 11
The IMD has forecast light to moderate rain and strong surface winds across Telangana till July 11. Hyderabad and neighbouring districts are expected to continue experiencing pleasant weather, while thunderstorms accompanied by lightning and gusty winds are likely in several districts.
Hyderabad: Overcast skies and pleasant weather conditions along with isolated spells of showers have continued to prevail in Hyderabad and neighbouring districts, providing a relaxed breezy respite from the sweltering daytime temperatures that dominated the region till recently.
While there have been no major spells of heavy downpour, the India Meteorological Department (IMD), Hyderabad on Monday has issued a forecast for light to moderate showers, extensively in all the districts of Telangana.
Interestingly, the weather department has also issued a specific alert for strong windy conditions to be prevalent in all parts of the State.
“Light to moderate rain or thundershowers are very likely to occur at a few places over Telangana. Strong surface winds up to (50 to 60 kmph) are very likely to prevail at isolated places in all the districts of Telangana,” the IMD, Hyderabad forecast said.
The strong surface winds alert for the entire state has been issued till July 11 by IMD, Hyderabad.
For the next 48-hours, the Hyderabad weather department has also issued warning for thunderstorms accompanied with lightning and gusty winds warning for multiple districts including Adilabad, KomramBheem Asifabad, Mancherial, Nirmal, Paddpalli and Jayashankar Bhupalapally districts.
