Increase skills to check cyber crimes, says DGP Mahendar Reddy

Hyderabad: Director General of Police M Mahendar Reddy on Thursday advised police personnel in the State to hone up skills required to probe cyber crime cases effectively.
Addressing the inaugural session of a three-day physical level-III training on cybercrimes against women and children organized by the Telangana Women Safety Wing in virtual mode, he said the session would enable the police personnel empower themselves with necessary skills in investigating cyber crimes cases.

As many as 117 select police officers across the State attended the session which will help them in gaining expertise to collect digital evidence in cybercrimes. Using open source technologies and other IT tools, the Investigating Officers (IOs) will get to know the modus operandi adopted by cyber criminals.
At the same time, the IOs must also know the open source technologies in identifying the criminals involved in cybercrimes, he said.
