Independence Day celebrated at Bowenpally Pallavi Model School

Hyderabad: Pallavi Model School, Bowenpally virtually celebrated India’s 75th Independence Day.
The celebration began with a prayer followed by an inspiring speech by Neetu Abhishek. The speech was followed by the flag hoisting ceremony. Principal Shailaja Reddy in her address asserted that freedom comes with great responsibilities and encouraged students to fulfil duties towards the motherland.
Tiny tots from the pre-primary were dressed as national leaders and freedom fighters. Namrata and Janavi, who were dressed as Rani Lakshmi Bai and Begum of Awadh, spoke about women empowerment followed by amazing dance performances by the students of the primary block.
A melodious song by Akshara of class VII. Sathweek of class X put up a hilarious show which was equally informative. Vajrika and Rohit of class X enacted a scene in Telugu related to the life of Alluri Sitarama Raju. Senior students of class VIII and IX gave scintillating dance performances. The event concluded with a vote of thanks.
