The 75th Independence Day celebrations at Delhi Public School, Nadergul was based on the theme “Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav”, an initiative of the Government of India to celebrate and commemorate 75 years of freedom of progressive India and the glorious history of its people, culture, and achievements. The event started with a prayer song followed by the school song. IAS (Retd) officer, TS Election Commissioner, C ParthaSarathi was the Chief Guest of the event.
The other guests were Gazala Shaikh, Lead CSR, WNS Global Services and Sherin Ali – Sr. Group Manager – CSR, School chairman M Komariah, vice-chairman Bheemsen and COO of Pallavi Institutions and Delhi Public School Yasasvi Malkha. DPS Nadergul has always given due importance to making the children ecologically responsible. Keeping this mind, our school initiated a green drive called “Our Green Gold Campaign” which aims at encouraging students to care for, appreciate, and respect nature, the school said. The video was aired with glimpses of how the children did their part in nurturing nature for a beautiful future. As virtual schools became the new normal it was very crucial to inculcate the importance of safety protocols while online.
Delhi Public School fraternity joined hands with WNS foundation to make each stakeholder cyber smart. Gazala Shaikh, Lead CSR, WNS GLOBAL SERVICES and Sherin Ali – Sr. Group Manager – CSR awarded the Cyber Smart School certificate to DPS, Nadergul. Topper feted Speaking on the occasion, chairman Komariah applauded and felicitated the toppers of the first AISSCE batch which passed out from the school recently.
The programme aimed to give a glimpse of the spirituality of the sages along with highlighting the capabilities and strengths of our scientists depicting the magnificent journey of our Nation. The programme gave fodder to the thought process of students, kindled the spirit of enquiry and made everyone reflect on the very fact that Knowledge is immortal and is relevant in every era. It reinstated that freedom in its essence is Freedom in the mind, Faith in the words, Pride in our hearts, and memories in our souls, students said at the end of the event.
