Hyderabad: Indian Railways has announced a 3 per cent discount on the purchase of unreserved railway tickets booked through the RailOne mobile application using digital payment modes, excluding R-Wallet.
The incentive will be available for a six-month period from January 14 to July 14.
RailOne, recently launched by Indian Railways, is a comprehensive, all-in-one passenger service application designed to enhance user convenience.
Available on both Android Play Store and iOS App Store, the app integrates multiple services, including unreserved and platform ticket booking, reserved ticket services, live train tracking, grievance redressal, and e-catering. The app also supports existing UTS app login credentials.
Railway authorities said with RailOne, passengers can book unreserved journey and platform tickets from their homes and board trains directly, eliminating the need to stand in queues at ticket counters.
The app also supports cashless payments through various digital platforms such as UPI, Paytm, PhonePe, Google Pay, internet banking, and other digital modes.
While the new 3 per cent discount applies to all digital payments except R-Wallet, the existing 3 per cent cashback benefit on R-Wallet transactions will continue.
