Inflows decline in Hyderabad’s twin reservoirs after rainfall pause

Following the cessation of rains in Hyderabad’s catchment areas, inflows into Osman Sagar and Himayat Sagar reservoirs have declined. Water levels dropped slightly since Friday morning, with officials attributing the change to the end of heavy rainfall earlier in the week.

A senior HMWSSB official said with the rains having stopped in the catchment areas, after a couple of days of heavy downpour, the inflows have come down. This also resulted in a decrease in the water levels recorded in twin reservoirs since Friday morning.
