Injury-related stress drives man to suicide in Medak
A 38-year-old driver allegedly died by suicide in Papannapet mandal of Medak after being unable to resume work following a road accident. Police said the man consumed pesticide, reportedly distressed over his inability to support his family.
Medak: Unable to resume work after meeting with an accident, a man died, allegedly by suicide, at Kothapally in Papannapet mandal on Wednesday.
Baikini Srinivas (38), who worked as a driver to earn his livelihood, was confined to his house for the past few months after sustaining a fracture in a road accident. Unable to work and reportedly feeling that he had become a burden on his family, Srinivas took the extreme step.
He consumed pesticide in his agricultural field on Wednesday and was immediately rushed to the government hospital in Medak. He died while undergoing treatment late on Wednesday night. Police registered a case and took up investigation.
