Khammam: An intermediate first year student suffered grievous injuries after he fell from a private college building here during wee hours on Monday.

The student, M Lokesh was rushed to a private hospital for treatment and was said to be in coma. According to his family members the student suffered head injury and broke his limbs as fell from the third floor of the building.

The college management reportedly told the family members that the boy attempted suicide but the family members denied the management’s version. The local police rushed to the spot as tension prevailed for sometime following a protest staged by the family members and student organisations demanding action against the management.

Police said they were checking CCTV footage and questioning the boy’s classmates to learn about the incident. The family members were yet to lodge a complaint with police with regard to the incident.
