Hyderabad: An intermediate first year student Kotla Avinash (16) died by suicide at his house in Medchal on Saturday night.

The victim, who was pursuing intermediate course from a private college at Kompally stayed at the college hostel. He came home for Diwali festival.

“The boy was reportedly not interested in studying at the college and was not willing to go to hostel. On Saturday night, he hanged himself to the ceiling fan in the house and ended his life,” said Medchal police.

A case is registered.
