Mancherial: A 16-year-old girl died by suicide after reportedly becoming depressed over her failure in one subject, following the announcement of intermediate examination results on Monday.
According to police, Akshaya, a second-year intermediate student from Jayashankar Colony in Naspur mandal headquarters, ended her life by hanging while her parents were away from home. She was reportedly disheartened after failing to clear the mathematics paper.
Her parents returned to find Akshaya hanging from the ceiling and immediately informed the police. A team rushed to the spot and began preliminary inquiries. A case has been registered and investigation is under way.
