Hyderabad: Senior secondary segment of Delhi Public School, Nacharam, marked International Youth Day by celebrating the potential of youth as partners in today’s global society with several activities organised during a special assembly. Principal Sunitha Rao during her address advised students that it was pertinent for the youth to be aware and be well-educated which will pave the way to an honorable and dignified life.
An informative video on ‘Innovative transformation in food technology’, encompassing various constituents in the field, was projected which caught the rapt attention of the audience. Thematic role play on food wastage, adulteration and ways to mitigate was enacted which made positive contribution on the thoughts of the children. Senior vice-principal Nandita Sunkara gave an insight by stating the purpose for organizing the event and how youth play a key role in the development of society and the nation. She also stated the dire need to provide quality guidance to the youth in these trying times.
Various class activities revolved around the message of youth as the next generation leaders who have the responsibilities of being the ambassadors of change. The assembly ended on a positive note motivating students to be good citizens, thus contributing to the development of the country. School ideals stress on filling the young minds with high thoughts, highest ideals and place them day and night before the realities of life brings the beautiful outcome in the form of great work.
