Intoxicated youth tries to rape his mother at Paloncha in Kothagudem
A youth allegedly attempted to rape his mother at Jagannathapuram village in Paloncha mandal of Bhadradri Kothagudem district. He allegedly assaulted her after she resisted. Family members and locals intervened before police took the accused into custody and registered a case
Kothagudem: Intoxicated by alcohol and ganja, a youth allegedly attempted to rape his mother at Jagannathapuram village in Paloncha mandal in the district on Sunday.
The accused, Banoth Pavan, was said to have tried to rape his mother during the wee hours. As his mother resisted his heinous act, he beat her, causing bruises on her face and other parts of the body.
The family members and locals rushed to the woman’s rescue as she started screaming in pain. The accused was said to have troubled the local residents in a similar manner in the past and complaints had been lodged against him with the police.
The accused was thrashed and taken to the local government hospital. Based on a complaint by the family members, Paloncha rural police took the accused into custody and registered a case against him.
