Nirmal: Forest Minister Allola Indrakaran Reddy asked the BJP leaders to introspect before levelling baseless allegations against the State government. He was speaking at the ongoing week-long Rythu Bandhu celebrations held in Sarangapur mandal centre on Wednesday.

“While many are appreciating the State government for implementing a slew of innovative schemes, BJP national president JP Nadda was making absurd statements criticising it. He is jealous of the development being witnessed in Telangana under the TRS rule which is supported by the public. Leaders of the saffron party should introspect before crictising our government,” he said.

The Minister lamented that the union government sold 70 public sector undertakings (PSUs) affecting the livelihood of thousands of employees. “The BJP has no moral right to comment on TRS governance. The saffron party brought in anti-farmer policies, whereas the State government introduced schemes for the welfare of the agrarian community,” he noted.

Indrakaran further said that the leaders of BJP were making statements against Kaleshwaram Lift Irrigation Scheme and Mission Bhagiratha by the State government which won accolades for the two ambitious initiatives. Popular ‘Discovery’ channel too telecast a story narrating the salient features of the multi-stage lift irrigation scheme, while drinking water schemes quenching the thirst of each and every village in the State.

The Minister said that BJP State president Bandi Sanjay Kumar assaulted police who tried to arrest him for allegedly violating Covid-19 protocol in Karimnagar recently. He found fault with the leaders of the oppostion party as to why they were not consoling families of farmers who sacrificed lives protesting farm laws. He advised them to stop indulging in cheap politics from now onwards.
