Hyderabad: High-octane T20 cricketing action is going to be back soon as fans across the country gear up to cheer thier favourite francisees in the 18th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL 2025).

The IPL 2025 is set to kick-start on March 22, with a clash between last year’s winners Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB).


The season opener will be played at the Eden gardens in Kolkata.

Runners-up from last year, Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) will lock horns with Rajastan Royals (RR) at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad on March 23.

Initially, the inaugural game was scheduled to be played on March 23. However, the BCCI advanced the inaugural date by a day to March 22 following a request from broadcasters for a Saturday beginning.
