Hyderabad: The India Post Payments Bank (IPPB) on Thursday launched convenient ‘Doorstep Digital Life Certificate’ (DLC) services through its extensive postal network across Telangana circle.

With this launch, pensioners from Central and State governments, and other organisations such as EPFO, Defence, Singareni Collieries, Beedi workers can now submit their Jeevan Pramaan (Digital Life Certificate) online, without the need of visiting banks or offices, and get the certificate home delivered.

In a statement, Telangana Postal Circle postal services assistant director, S Vijaya Jyothi said the new service is facilitated through the IPPB postmen and Gramin Dak Sevaks equipped with biometric devices.

Highlighting key benefits, the postal official said pensioners can book doorstep service through the nearest post office, IPPB toll-free number 155299 or via a request in the post info mobile application.

Using Aadhaar-based biometric authentication, the DLC is generated instantly and shared with the Pension Disbursing Agency (PDA), the official said, adding that this facility is available across all 23 IPPB branches and 6,256 access points (post offices) in Telangana, ensuring last-mile service delivery even in rural areas.

“The doorstep DLC service can be availed at a nominal charge of Rs 70 inclusive of GST, ensuring affordability and accessibility for all pensioners,” the official said.

Dr. D Veena Kumari, Chief Postmaster General, Telangana Circle, said “Through the post office and IPPB’s vast network and doorstep banking model, we are committed to empowering pensioners with digital access and convenience. The Digital Life Certificate service is another step towards inclusive digital banking and citizen-centric service delivery.”
