Irrigation Minister Uttam Kumar assures completion of PRLIS by Congress government

The Minister said that comprehensive measures were being taken to complete the remaining lifts and projects including Nettempadu, Kalwakurti, and Bhima in the erstwhile Mahabubnagar district

Hyderabad: Amidst the uncertainty regarding the completion of Palamuru Rangareddy Lift Irrigation Scheme , Minister for Irrigation N. Uttam Kumar Reddy on Wednesday assured people of Palamuru region that the ambitious irrigation project would be completed by the Congress government.

He visited the Anjanagiri reservoir at Narlapur, a key component of the PRLIS along with the Minister for Excise, Jupalli Krishna Rao.

Later reviewing the progress of works on the project, the Minister said the project, which was intended to provide irrigation water to 12 lakh acres, would see its completion under the present government.
