Irrigation projects in erstwhile Adilabad receive copious inflows
Kaddam Narayana Reddy project at Kaddam-Peddur in Khanapur mandal registered inflows by 5,163 cusecs

Kumram Bheem Asifabad: Irrigation projects continued to receive copious inflows following rains in upstream areas, in erstwhile Adilabad on Monday.
Kaddam Narayana Reddy project at Kaddam-Peddur in Khanapur mandal registered inflows by 5,163 cusecs. Water level of the project reached 6.491 tmcs as against 7.603 tmcs. Surplus water was released by lifting five gates. Kumram Bheem project at Ada village in Kerameri mandal had 2,867 cusecs of inflows. The project had 9.470 tmc of water as against 10.393 tmc.
Sripada Yellampalli project at Gudipet village in Hajipur mandal recorded 7,011 cusecs of inflows. The water level reached 17.396 tmcs out of the total storage capacity of 20.175 tmcs. Sathnala project had inflows by 443 cusecs. The water level was 0.824 tmcs as against 1.24 tmcs. Swarna project saw 220 cusecs of inflows.
Meanwhile, Adilabad district registered an average rainfall of 27.3 mm. Narnoor received the highest rainfall of 139 mm, followed by Gadiguda 93 mm. Utnoor, Indervelli, Bazarhathnoor, Adilabad Rural mandal registered somewhere between 20 and 35 mm. Hilly streams were flooded by rain water and local waterfalls came alive.
