Mancherial: Balka Suman, district president of the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS), questioned Labour Minister G Vivek for using the police and officials to secure the chairperson post of the 22-member Kyathanpalli municipality, where the BRS-CPI alliance had won a majority of 14 wards.
“Is it a crime to win a majority of wards in Kyathanpalli municipality? Is it an offence committed by the public to cast in favour of BRS-CPI alliance candidates? Why was Vivek mocking democracy and disrespecting the mandate of electors? Is this why he had been given the minister post?” Suman asked before being arrested in connection with a case at his residence at Kyathanpalli on Wednesday. Suman alleged that such anarchy was not witnessed anywhere and that democracy was being murdered in broad daylight.
