ISRO Chairman Dr Somanath inspires at ‘Space Toon’ cartoon exhibition in Hyderabad

Hyderabad: Chairman of Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO), Dr S Somanath on Tuesday said that creativity has no limits, even in space, and encouraged everyone to strive for excellence in their chosen fields.
Delivering his speech in a unique space-themed cartoon exhibition titled ‘Space Toon’, organised at Ravindra Bharathi by Telangana Language and Cultural Department, Telugu Region Malayali Association, and the Hyderabad Forum for Political Cartoonists, Dr Somnath recalled that he used to draw cartoons when he was young and has always admired the humor embedded in cartoons.
The ISRO Chairman specifically mentioned how he was fascinated by the space shuttle depicted in the famous Tintin cartoon series, which inspired his love for space. Later, Dr Somanath also interacted with students and answered questions related to space research.
Jupally Krishna Rao, Tourism and Culture Minister, Burra Venkatesh, Principal Secretary (Education and BC Welfare), Mamidi Harikrishna, Director, Language and Cultural, Liby Benjamin, Chairman of CTRMA, TEDS and CLIC; Sudheer Nath, Chairman of the Kerala Cartoon Academy; Shankar, president, Hyderabad Forum for Political Cartoonists;, Mrityunjay, Secretary and cartoonists Subhani, Narsim, Venkatesh, Rakesh and others were present.
