Daya Prasad says her mother unintentionally took an overdose of medicine
Hyderabad: A day after singer Kalpana Raghavender was hospitalised for allegedly ‘attempting suicide,’ her daughter Daya Prasad Prabhakar clarified that it was not a suicide attempt.
Speaking to media person on Wednesday, Daya Prasad said her mother unintentionally took an overdose of medicine. “My mother is a singer, pursuing her LLB and PhD simultaneously, which has led to insomnia. To treat insomnia the doctors prescribed her a tablet. It was a slight overdose, but this was not a suicide attempt,” she clarified.
Daya Prasad further said that the family is perfectly fine. “My mom and dad are very much happy. Everybody is perfectly fine in the family. Please don’t manipulate things,” she added.
The singer was admitted to a private hospital at Nizampet in the city on Tuesday evening after she was found unconscious at her house.
