Hyderabad: Tollywood singer Kalpana, allegedly consumed sleeping pills at her house at Nizampet in the city in an attempt to end her life. The singer was rushed to a hospital where she is undergoing treatment.
According to police, they received information from a hospital that a woman was admitted and is stated to have consumed some pills. The police reached the hospital and enquired with the family members about it. However, the relatives informed the police that nothing alarming had happened in the house.
The police are waiting for Kalpana, to recover before recording her statement.
