ITDA-Utnoor PO cracks whip on mid-day meal lapses; agency’s contract cancelled

Adilabad: Integrated Tribal Development Area (ITDA)-Utnoor project officer Khusbu Gupta cancelled the contract of an agency which was providing mid-day meal to students at Ashram school, suspended a teacher and issued a show-cause notice against a resource person for skipping duties without prior permission. She inspected multiple schools and Anganwadi centres in Narnoor mandal on Friday.
Khusbu took action against the agency for failing to provide food as per menu at a primary school at Gangapur village and placed Yaswanth under suspension for working with the primary school. She found fault with Yashwanth for deploying another teacher in his place without prior permission from higher officials.
A show-cause notice was also issued to a resource person at a school in Thadihathnoor village. She told the district welfare officer to initiate action against an Anganwadi teacher at Devaraguda village. She later inspected a model school and asked officials to serve food to the inmates as per the menu fixed by the government.
