A 12-year-old student of a tribal welfare Ashram school in Asifabad district died of fever while undergoing treatment at MGM Hospital, Warangal. This follows a previous student death in November at a similar institution, raising concerns over health and safety standards.
Lalithya (13), a Class IX student at the school, reportedly passed away due to epileptic seizures. She was a native of Morkandi village in Bazarhathnoor mandal.
Headmaster of the school Ashok, in a statement, said that Supriya bagged the opportunity by excelling in a district-level event. He congratulated the student for being selected in a state-level competition
Khusbu took action against the agency for failing to provide food as per menu at a primary school at Gangapur village and placed Yaswanth under suspension for working with the primary school
They were immediately admitted to a hospital. Their condition was learnt to be stable. The other students and parents expressed concern over food served at the hostel.
Kova Lakshmi expressed concern over instances of food poisoning at regular instances. She instructed officials to take steps to provide quality food cooked in hygienic conditions and education.
