Nalgonda: Energy Minister G Jagadish Reddy on Monday strongly condemned the attack of BJP activists on farmers during Bandi Sanjay’s visit to IKP paddy procurement centres in the erstwhile Nalgonda district.

Reacting to the issue, the Minister said, ” paddy procurement was held peacefully in the erstwhile Nalgonda district for the last six years. Even during the pandemic, the crop was procured without any hurdle. However, Bandi Sanjay’s visit to IKP centres spoiled the peaceful atmosphere,” he said.

The Minister said that the BJP activists attacked farmers, who questioned Sanjay about the Centre’s decision on paddy procurement. Jagadish termed the act of the BJP members as undemocratic. He asked the BJP State president to make the Central government continue paddy procurement.
