Suryapet: At least two persons were injured when the BJP activists pelted stones at TRS cadre who gathered at Shettipalem in Miryalaguda of Nalgonda district, to register their protest against BJP State president Bandi Sanjay’s visit to the district. The TRS activists staged the protests when Sanjay arrived at a local paddy procurement centre.

The police used mild force to disperse the crowd who gathered at Arjala Bavi, Shettipalem, Madgulapally, Chillapally and Garidepally, to register their protest to the visit of the Karimnagar MP.

The windshields of a vehicle in convoy of Bandi Sanjay were damaged when a group of people attacked the convoy with stones at Chillapally bridge in Nereducherla mandal of Suryapet district, opposing his visit. A group of people tried to stop the convoy saying they would not allow BJP leaders into their area to visit the IKP paddy procurement centre as the BJP government at the Centre was taking decisions against the interests of the farmers.

The police swung into action and took them into custody. The police managed to provide safe passage to the convoy of Sanjay.
