Nalgonda: Energy Minister G Jagadish Reddy on Tuesday assured that he would try hard to set up a Kabaddi Academy at Suryapet.
The Minister’s assurance came when State Kabaddi Association vice president Maripeddi Srinivas called on him at his camp office in Suraypet. Jagadish Reddy said measures would be taken to encourage all games including kabaddi in the district after completion of the new building for District Police Office.
He said the District Police Office was temporarily set up at the outdoor stadium after the creation of Suryapet district. He also observed that there were several state and national level kabaddi players from the district.
Temporary sheds and mats would be set up in the government junior colleges premises at Suryapet, Thungathurthy, Huzurnagar and Kodad for indoor and outdoor games.
