Jagadish Reddy suspects secret Modi-Revanth pact

"Revanth Reddy's statements make it evident that the BJP has both an A-team and a B-team in Telangana, and he has covertly aligned with Modi. His admiration for Modi while mocking Kishan Reddy reveals his true strategy," he said at a press conference on Monday.

Hyderabad: Former Minister G Jagadish Reddy suspected that Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy had become a true “Modi bhakt” and was acting as an agent of the BJP. After meeting Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Revanth Reddy had intensified his attack on Telangana BJP leaders G Kishan Reddy and Bandi Sanjay, while simultaneously praising Modi.

“Revanth Reddy’s remarks clearly indicate that the BJP has both an A-team and a B-team in Telangana, and he has secretly aligned with Modi. His praise for Modi while ridiculing Kishan Reddy exposes his game plan,” he said at a press conference here on Monday.

Taking a swipe at Revanth Reddy’s leadership, Jagadish Reddy said the State was in reverse gear for the last 15 months, with development indicators plummeting.

“Revanth has no sincerity toward governance and no commitment toward the people. His ministers don’t even understand their own departments,” he said, adding that the Chief Minister was more invested in protecting his political interests and personal assets rather than governing the State.

The former Minister held the government responsible for the SLBC tunnel accident, accusing it of gross negligence.

“Ten days have passed, and rescue operations made no progress. Even now, experts’ recommendations are being ignored,” he said, demanding an independent probe.

He also dismissed Revanth Reddy’s claim of 24-hour power supply under the Congress regime, challenging him to prove it or step down. Accusing the Congress of deliberately neglecting Kaleshwaram to discredit former Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao, he urged the government to lift water from Medigadda and save the standing crops.
