Suryapet: Energy Minister G Jagadish Reddy on Monday urged children aged between 15 and 18 years to get the Covid vaccine in view of third wave of the pandemic.
Launching vaccination drive for the children aged between 15 and 18 years at Government General Hospital in Suryapet, Jagadish Reddy said that the vaccine for teens was made available at all health centers from village level to district level across the State. He said that first dose of the vaccine was administered to 96 percent of eligible people and 50 per cent of the second dose administration was completed. People should be cautious since the third wave of Covid-19 was sweeping across the world, he added. At the same time, the people should not panic and follow the Covid-appropriate behavior, he added.
Suryapet Municipal Chairperson Perumalla Annapurnamma, District Libraries president Nimmala Srinivas Goud and others were also present.
