Jagadish seeks Remdesivir, testing kits for Suryapet GH

Suryapet: Energy Minister G Jagadish Reddy on Wednesday urged the Director of Health to send sufficient numbers of Remdesivir injections, COVID testing kits and medicines to hospitals in Suryapet district.

The Minister spoke to the official over phone after inspecting the filling of 1,300 kl oxygen plant following arrival of oxygen tanker at the Government General Hospital here.


Jagadish Reddy asked him to initiate measures to supply sufficient numbers of Remdesivir injections, rapid antigen kits and medicines to avoid any inconvenience to the patients in the hospital. He also spoke with the Managing Director of Hetero Drugs and asked him to supply Remdesivir as per the request sent by the medical department for the purpose of Government General Hospital of Suryapet.

Minister interacts with patients through video conference

Jagadish Reddy also interacted with COVID patients undergoing treatment in the hospital through video conference and inquired about the treatment being extended to them. Stating that the doctors would be available to them round the clock, he instilled confidence among them stating there was no need to panic as the recovery rate was very high. “Confidence and courage are the first line of treatment for the disease,” he said.

He also interacted with the patients’ relatives waiting in the hospital premises.
