Amaravati: Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy has called for a study of the ayurvedic medicine used for curing coronavirus disease in Nellore.

During a review meeting on COVID at his camp office here on Friday, he directed officials to take up a scientific study on the medicine distributed by Anandaiah of Krishnapatnam in Nellore district for which people were making a beeline for the past few days. A team of medical experts and scientists should be sent to Nellore for the purpose, he felt.

Meanwhile, at Krishnapatnam the distribution of medicine was temporarily suspended after it became difficult to control the surging crowd. Anandaiah said on Friday that they had run out of the medicine and it would take a few days to prepare it after collecting the required herbs and plants. He had taken up administering the medicine with the encouragement provided by local MLA Kakani Govardhana Reddy, he said.
