Jagga Reddy donates Rs 10 lakhs to cancer patient in Sadasivapet

Amani, a widow and mother of two girl children, has been struggling to raise funds for her treatment after her husband's death a few years ago.

Sangareddy: Senior Congress leader and former MLA T Jagga Reddy donated Rs 10 lakh to a woman, who was battling with cancer for last few years. Jagga Reddy visited the woman Amani’s house in Sadasivapet town on Tuesday after coming to know her struggles through some local leaders.

Amani, a widow and mother of two girl children, has been struggling to raise funds for her treatment after her husband’s death a few years ago. Amani said that she has borrowed some Rs. seven lakh from various sources to meet the expenses of her treatment. She thanked the Congress leader’s gesture since it will help her to get better treatment for the next few years.


Speaking on the occasion, Jagga Reddy also appreciated the Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy‘s decision to set up cancer screening centres across the State to screen the people and diagnose the cancer patients which would eventually save lives of hundreds of people.
