Jagga Reddy’s overaction made police job difficult during CM meeting
TPCC Working President T Jagga Reddy’s theatrics at Sangareddy’s I&B Junction created chaos as police struggled to manage traffic and crowd control ahead of Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy’s arrival. The situation escalated when Jagga Reddy took over traffic management himself.
Sangareddy: TPCC Working President T Jagga Reddy’s antics at I&B Junction left the Sangareddy police helpless as the crowd moved menacingly and the traffic started piling up. While the Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy was expected to arrive in a few minutes at I&B Guest House to unveil the statues of former Prime Ministers Jawaharlal Nehru and Rajiv Gandhi, the police found it difficult to control the public and traffic.
While Jagga Reddy had started moving all over the road to attract the attention of the crowd, the cadres and other leaders followed him. Even though the traffic was diverted to just one side of the road blocking one way, the Sangareddy woman ASP Chaitanya Reddy, DSP Sathiah Goud and their teams found it difficult to control the crowd. The crowd had started moving on the other side of the road blocking the traffic.
When Chaitanya tried to convince Jagga Reddy to keep the crowd onside, Jagga Reddy further pushed the blame on to police. Asking the police to stay aside, Jagga Reddy, who held a mike, has started controlling the traffic directing the police to stay aside. It has led to an argument between the ASP and Jagga Reddy for a while as the officials feared that the crowd may turn uncontrollable as Revanth had landed at the helipad already.
