Jagtial: People shower praise on KCR for sanctioning medical college

Jagtial: People from all sections of society showered praise on Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao for his decision to establish a medical college in the district.
Various sections of society on Tuesday thanked the Chief Minister for fulfilling the long standing dream of the people of Jagitial to have a medical college in the district.
Chandrashekhar Rao announced plans to establish medical colleges in six districts across the State on Monday as part of the efforts to ramp up medical infrastructure in Telangana. Jagitial is among the six districts identified for establishment of not only a medical college but also a nursing college.
Upbeat by the Chief Minister’s decision, Telangana Rashtra Samithi leaders led by local MLA Dr M Sanjay Kumar performed palabhishekam (milk bath) to the former’s portrait at the MLA’s camp office on Tuesday.
MLC K Kavitha also responded to the Chief Minister’s decision on her twitter account and thanked him for identifying Jagitial for the proposed medical and nursing colleges.
The Chief Minister created Jagitial district during the administrative reforms exercise, and had always extended his support for the development of the district.
Isolation centre inaugurated
Nizamabad: Nizamabad rural MLA Bajireddy Goverdhan on Tuesday launched an isolation centre at the Model School building in Dhapally mandal. On the occasion, the MLA said the State government is striving hard to prevent the Covid pandemic and is providing better amenities to Covid patients. The centre will come in handy for those who don’t have isolation facilities at their homes, the MLA said and added that more such centres will be inaugurated soon. Later, the MLA inspected facilities in the isolation centre. Dharpally ZPTC Bajireddi Jagan and others were also present on the occasion.
