Jagtial: Two NREGS labourers were injured when they were fleeing from the spot after seeing a leopard near Gangaram thanda of Kodimial mandal on Tuesday.

According to villagers, Bhukya Deepika and Bhukya Gori were engaged in work at a nursery. While they were watering saplings, they saw a leopard nearby around 11 am. Panicking over seeing the leopard, the duo ran from the spot but tripped and fell and got injured. Local people took them to a local medical practitioner.

Knowing about the incident, forest ranger Mohiuddin along with his staff visited the spot and searched for pug marks of the leopard. However, they could not find any evidence immediately. Villagers have been advised to stay alert and not to move outside alone.
