Hyderabad: Telangana State wore a festive look on Thursday when TRS leaders and workers celebrated ‘Janda Panduga’ (flag festival), hoisting the party’s pink flag in every nook and corner even as ‘Jai Telangana’ slogans reverberated in the air.
Ministers, MLAs, MLCs, ZPTC members, MPTC members, sarpanches and other leaders from the party actively participated in the celebrations, maintaining Covid-appropriate behaviour. TRS working president KT Rama Rao had directed the party leaders and workers to hoist the party flag in villages, mandals, towns and cities across the State.
Finance Minister T Harish Rao hoisted the party flag and participated in the celebrations organised in various places in Siddipet. Former Legislative Council Chairman Gutta Sukhender Reddy hoisted the party flag in 48th ward of Nalgonda district and paid tributes to Telangana martyrs.
Congratulating the party leaders on the flag festival, Sukhender Reddy said the laying of the foundation stone for TRS party office in New Delhi by Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao was a historic moment.
In Jogulamba Gadwal district, the party flag was hoisted in all the mandal headquarters. At Tadipatri village in Gopalpet mandal, Wanaparthy district, Gollakuruma community members hoisted party flag in the fields holding sheep.
Unfurling the party flag at Choppadandi, MLA Sunke Ravishankar said the TRS had emerged as an unparalleled political force with the blessings of the people.
In Tangalapally mandal, Rajanna Sircilla district, flags were hoisted by TRS leaders in 30 villages. The district headquarters wore a festive look as TRS leaders offered sweets to people after unfurling the party flag.
In Hyderabad, Animal Husbandry Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav unfurled the party flag at Somajiguda. The Minister said TRS had evolved under the leadership of K Chandrashekhar Rao with a goal to achieve ‘Bangaru Telangana’ and welfare of the people.
