Jangaon undertrial prisoner dies after attempting suicide at sub-jail

Jangaon: An under-trial prisoner who allegedly attempted suicide at Jangaon sub-jail died undergoing treatment at MGM Hospital in Warangal on Sunday.

The deceased, Varala Mallesh (35) of Singarajupalli of Devaruppula mandal was lodged in the jail in an attempt to murder case.

He consumed bleaching powder on Saturday night and was rushed to the hospital for treatment and died during early hours in the day. Police registered a case in connection with the incident and launched a probe.
