Hyderabad: Hare Krishna Movement (HKM), Hyderabad is celebrating Sri Krishna Janmashtami festival with a series of programmes between August 29 and 31. The three day festivities at the temple on Road no 12, Banjara Hills, will be open to all and devotees who can physically visit the temple to witness and experience the ceremonies and rituals.
“A special opportunity for devotees this year is they can have Lord Sri Krishna’s darshan in three different forms as Sri RadhaGovinda, Sri Godha Krishna and Sri Laddu Gopal/Makhan Krishna. All festivities are planned as per the Covid regulations,” president, HKM, Hyderabad, Satya Gaura Chandra Dasa, said.
The festivities on all the days start with Sringara Arati followed by Visesha Naivedyam and devotees will be given an opportunity to do Unjala/JhulanSeva to Sri Laddu Gopal. Chappan Bhog (56 food items), specially prepared by the devotees will be offered and Rajabhoga Arati will be performed at noon, according to HKM.
On August 29 and 30 evenings, there will be Visesha Sandhya MahaAbhishekam and on August 30, at 11 pm a special Abhishekam with 108 Kalashas to Sri RadhaGovinda will be performed followed by a Maha Mangala Arathi at the stroke of midnight. On August 31, Sri Nandotsavam will be performed and Unjala/JhulanSeva will be grandly held.
