Jio denies having any such plans to launch an electric scooter
Hyderabad: With the country’s urban transport systems evolving quickly, electric vehicles are conquering the roads at the same pace. Everyday many EV brands are entering the markets offering various technological advancements in their vehicles. What has caused an internet sensation is a report about one such electric scooter from a well-known business house.
As per online media reports, the scooter would be an affordable, reliable and innovative one designed exclusively for the Indian commuters who travel daily to distances.
The design and body of the scooter features clean minimalism yet offering wide range of comforts. Reports indicate that the proposed vehicle will have a spacious flat footboard designed to store bags and other packages. Its wide and cushioned seat accommodates both rider and pillion comfortably for travelling longer distances. The 12-Inch alloy wheels provide much needed grip to tackle the Indian roads and its potholes. The scooter, online reports maintained, is powered by a 4kW hub motor, capable of delivering instant torque of 110 Nm that offers a responsive acceleration that feels natural in this cut-to-chase city traffic.
The reports raised many eyebrows as they attributed the model to be manufactured by Reliance Jio. However, a Reliance Jio spokesperson has denied reports that the company has any such plans to launch electric scooters, as reported in a section of online media.
