Hyderabad: JioStar has announced the simultaneous launch of six editions of its flagship reality show Bigg Boss across Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam and Bangla during the festive season, beginning in September 2026. The company also unveiled India’s Bigg Reality, a first-of-its-kind coffee table book documenting the franchise’s two-decade journey, cultural influence and marketing impact.

The six editions will air on the JioStar television network and stream on JioHotstar. Returning hosts include Salman Khan, Vijay Sethupathi, Nagarjuna, Kichcha Sudeepa and Mohanlal, while former Indian cricket captain Sourav Ganguly joins the franchise as the Bangla edition host.

According to JioStar, the franchise reached more than 500 million viewers in 2025, generated over 438 billion viewing minutes and recorded a 47% year-on-year increase in engagement across six language editions. More than 625 brands across 46 categories, including 49 first-time advertisers, partnered with the show during the year.

The coffee table book highlights the evolution of Bigg Boss into a major marketing platform through brand integrations, audience participation and digital engagement. It notes that viewers cast over 9.32 billion votes and generated 43 million live chats on JioHotstar, while the franchise attracted more than 1.7 billion social media engagements and 30 million user-generated memes in 2025.

Mahesh Shetty, Head – Entertainment Sales, TV, JioStar, said the book captures the show’s transformation into a cultural phenomenon and a strategic platform for brands. Bhaskar Ramesh, Head – Entertainment Sales, Digital, JioStar, said the franchise delivers sustained audience attention during the festive season, helping brands connect with consumers through content-driven engagement.
