Hyderabad: Students of fourth-year second semester BTech and BPharmacy of the Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University-Hyderabad (JNTU-H) will have to appear for the semester exams from July 5 to 14. The university administration has announced a schedule for the fourth-year second semester regular and supplementary examinations here on Thursday.

Like last semester examinations, students have to write five out of eight questions and there will be no mandatory section in the question paper this time as well. Besides, the examination has to be completed in three hours instead of two hours. Given the Covid-19 pandemic situation the university has tweaked the question paper pattern besides increasing the exam duration. All the examinations will be held from 9.45 am to 12.45 pm.

Examination centres will be alloted to students as per their three preferences and nearest to their hometowns. Accordingly, the university has already collected preferences from students to select a cluster of colleges.

“We decided to hold final year second-semester examinations first, as students will be appearing for postgraduate entrance exams and several of them will also be planning for higher studies abroad,” an official said.

Also, the university has rescheduled BTech/BPharmcy IV-I semester regular/supplementary exams which were scheduled to be held on March 25 and 27 but were postponed due to the closure of educational institutions in view of the pandemic. Now, these examinations will be held on July 1 and 3.

The university said same exam centres, hall tickets and pre-printed answer booklets at the time of BTech/BPharmacy 4-1, 3-1 and 2-1 March 2021 examinations would be continued and should be used for the rescheduled examinations.
