Hyderabad: As the number of applications exceeded the number of available slots, the Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU)-Hyderabad has blocked fresh registration for Telangana Engineering, Agriculture and Pharmacy Common Entrance Test (TG EAPCET) 2026 in nine test zones across the State.

Except for some slots in four Hyderabad zones, Warangal, Sathupally and Khammam zones, there are no openings for fresh registrations for engineering test in Nalgonda, Kodad, Bhadradri Kothagudem, Karimnagar, Siddipet, Mahbubnagar, Sangareddy, Adilabad and Nizamabad.

These test zones will not reflect during the fresh registration and students from these areas have to choose their nearest test zone or have to appear in Hyderabad.

In addition to four Hyderabad zones, Warangal, Sathupally and Khammam zones, the A&P test registrations are accepted in Karimnagar zone, where a few slots are available.

As many as 1,22,795 students registered for the engineering entrance test, 53,541 applied for the A&P test and 169 candidates applied for engineering and A&P test till the last count on Tuesday.

“We are anticipating more registrations after the Ugadi festival. A test zone, which receives applications more than the available slots, will not reflect during submission of new applications. Such students have to come to Hyderabad, where there are enough centres and slots,” a senior official said.

The A&P entrance test is scheduled for May 4 and 5 and the engineering entrance test will be held from May 9 to 11. The last date to apply without a late fee via the website https://eapcet.tgche.ac.in/ is April 4.

After submission of application, an edit option will be provided from April 6 to 8. Applications will be accepted with a late fee of Rs 250 and Rs 500 up to April 10 and 15, respectively.

Candidates can also apply with a late fee of Rs 2,500 and Rs 5,000 till April 20 and 24, respectively. This time, the JNTU-Hyderabad reintroduced the provision of submitting applications with a late fee of Rs 10,000. Such registrations will be accepted between April 25 and May 2.

For candidates who register with a late fee of Rs 2,500, Rs 5,000 and Rs 10,000, the test centre will be allotted in Hyderabad IV zone.

Hall tickets for the A&P entrance test will be made available for download on April 23, while hall tickets for the engineering test will be hosted on the website on April 27.
