JNTU-Hyderabad signs MoU with Coursera for online courses
JNTU-Hyderabad has signed an MoU with Coursera to provide open online courses for its students. The partnership will enable students to earn academic credits through subsidised courses, including capstone projects, offered by internationally reputed faculty and institutions
Hyderabad: JNTU-Hyderabad and Coursera, an online learning platform, have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to offer open online courses to the university’s students.
Speaking on the occasion, JNTU-Hyderabad Vice Chancellor Prof. T Kishen Kumar Reddy said the university’s students have the opportunity to earn credits through courses taught by highly competent and internationally reputed teachers at an affordable cost.
A large number of courses are available for registration under most of the Professional Elective courses offered by the university. Registering for massive open online courses offered by internationally reputed service providers will enrich the profiles of the students, he said.
Coursera Senior Enterprise Director Aaditya Razdan said Coursera offers its courses at several affiliating technological universities in India, including Anna University and Biju Patnaik Technological University, as well as several private universities.
“Coursera offers courses to students of JNTU-H and its affiliated colleges at a highly subsidised price. As part of the registered courses, capstone projects are also offered,” he added.
