Jobless man arrested for matricide in Hyderabad
Police said the accused Hari, who was jobless, used to frequently pick up arguments with his mother demanding money for his expenses and on Monday he strangled her to death and fled the spot
Hyderabad: The Jeedimetla police have solved the murder case of Suvarna (48), who was found dead in her house at Chinthal, and arrested her son Hari on Wednesday.
Police said Hari, who was jobless, used to frequently pick up arguments with his mother demanding money for his expenses.
On Monday, after his father Mallesh went to work, Hari is suspected to have demanded money. When Suvarna refused, he strangled her to death and fled the spot with cash and jewellery worth Rs 5 lakh.
Following a complaint, the Jeedimetla police booked a case and over strong suspicion, nabbed Hari. He confessed to the killing.
