Jofra Archer says Chris Gayle is still the Boss

A frustrated Gayle threw his bat, inviting sanction from the IPL committee. However, both Archer and Gayle showed spirit of the game when Archer appreciated Gayle’s knock. During knock, he also became the first cricketer to smash 1000 runs in T20s.

Hyderabad: West Indies’ cricketer Chris Gayle has been in great form for Kings XI Punjab in the IPL. At 41, he is going great guns. In the match against Rajasthan Royals, where KL Rahul-led Kings XI went down fighting, Gayle smashed 99 runs before being dismissed by a superb yorker by Jofra Archer.

A frustrated Gayle threw his bat, inviting sanction from the IPL committee. However, both Archer and Gayle showed spirit of the game when Archer appreciated Gayle’s knock. During knock, he also became the first cricketer to smash 1000 runs in T20s.


Later, the English fast bowler Archer took to twitter to praise Gayle. He wrote, ‘Still the boss @henrygayle. In a must-win match, Royals held their nerves to defeat Kings chasing 185-run target with ease. Ben Stokes smashed half-century before Sanju Samson added 48 runs to seal the deal.
