A 34-year-old man was found dead under suspicious circumstances in Ananthapuram village on Friday. Police suspect foul play after the body was found in roadside bushes, with no signs of a struggle but a liquor bottle recovered nearby.
Jogulamba Gadwal: A man was found dead under suspicious circumstances at Ananthapuram village in the district here on Friday. The deceased was identified as Vadde Varma, a resident of Duvvasipally village in Erravally mandal.
The 34-year-old is survived by two sons and his wife. However, his wife had abandoned him last year, triggering disturbances in the family. On Friday, Varma was found dead in the bushes on the Ananthapuram – Puduru road, according to reports.
After learning about the incident, the Rural Police rushed to the spot and shifted the body to Government General Hospital in the town.
As there were no signs of any skirmish at the spot and a liquor bottle was also found, the police believe unidentified persons could have killed Varma and dumped the body in the bushes, the reports said.
